I normally use the following tools as shown in the image to create my charcoal works.
A......................... Camel compressed charcoal stick
B..........................Normal Eraser
C.........................Kneaded putty ( to pick up the extra charcoal dust )
D........................Camlin soft charcoal pencil
E.........................KOHINOOR HARDSMUTH GIOCONDA extra charcoal pencil
F.........................Paper stump for blending
G.........................Soft Cloth for blending large portions
I also use charcoal powder at places when necessary, but I have not put it in the image above
