About the Artist - Manju Panchal
Manju Panchal is a self taught artist. She has been passionate
about art since childhood. She made a transition from science to Fine art after marriage and is mostly into creating realistic works, mainly
in soft pastels, charcoals and acrylics.
Manju Panchal's earlier works consisted
of still life paintings and portraits. Presently she is into creating landscapes using
soft pastels as a preferred medium. Her present landscape paintings are strongly
influenced by the beauty of nature. It is also an attempt to create an
awareness about the significance of Nature and the environment that surrounds
us and its beauty in its pristine form, which sadly with growing times is being
neglected.
The style of painting is realistic and the works of charcoals and pastels are created in layers. Her technique has evolved over a period of time which involves blending in the initial layers. She adds lot of gestural strokes in the final layers to suggest movement and energy.
Manju Panchal Created a blog in
January 2014 to share the love of art, the experiments with different mediums
and to get in touch with other artists of the world.
Manju Panchal was born and raised in Mumbai and presently
